I made a candle!

Remember the Valentine craft project I posted about last time?  Well I wasn't sure what I was going to put in my jar.  It is too tall for candy, and I couldn't think of anything else.  My friend and I had thought about making candles, but  let the subject go quickly.  Then, a couple of days later we went shopping for crafty stuff since she just got a Cricut Expression for her birthday (we're already planning Cricut parties).  I walked down one of the last isles at the craft store and what did I find?  Stuff for making candles!  I bought wax to melt, a wick, and a scent to add to it.  When I got home that night I couldn't wait to try my hand at transforming my jar into something new!  I had to get a little creative with holding the wick in the jar, so I wrapped it around a chopstick and balanced the chopstick on the top of the jar so I could make sure the wick stood straight up while I poured the hot wax in.  I let it set overnight, and was so excited when I woke up the next morning!  My candle had set perfectly!  I've been burning it today and I love it...I want to make a ton of candles now!  I'll leave you with some pictures of my project!
