Friday Fill-In
Do you eat raw cookie dough?
Oh my goodness yes! When I make cookies, I usually make a double batch and only bake one. Then I put the rest of the cookie dough in a container and sneak bites of it when I want. I love the stuff!
When you get online for the first time of the day... what site do you immediately head to?
I check google for my email. Then I go through Facebook and do some catching up on blog reading.
What was your favorite pet as a child and why?
My favorite pet was our German Shepard, Midnite. She was a gorgeous dog and so well behaved! She was more my brother's dog, but she was seriously the best dog I've ever known.
If you had a snail that could magically grant wishes, what would you name it?
Speedy! I like my pets to have fun names
How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll Pop?
Who knows...I am never patient enough to find out

Cait's visit to Okinawa
I'm about a month late posting this, but what can I say...I'm a slacker.
Last month, my brother's girlfriend came and visit me! She is actually the first visitor we've had to the island...she even beat my parents! Before I picked her up from the airport, we had never met in person. We had written letters and emails, but she started dating my brother right after I moved out here, so I missed out on the big family gathering to meet her. Let me tell you though, it didn't make anything awkward...we already knew we would get along. She was here for a week and we both cried at the airport when she left...I wanted more time with her!
Here are some highlights from her visit.

At the Okinawa Aquarium
Katie, Cait, and me in the shark mouth
Cait and me
Pineapple Park
Forest Adventure Zip Lining!
Some of the places we went:
Aquarium
Pineapple Park
Okinawa Glass Factory
The beach
The elementary school my brother and I went to (by my brother's request)
Some of the foods we ate:
Ramen
Soba
Sushi
Goya (bitter melon)
Yakiniku (Korean bbq)
Purple sweet potato
And much more...we pretty much ate our way through the island!
I had so much fun showing her around the island and getting to know her. Hopefully she'll make another trip out here before we leave (and hopefully with my brother!).
I'll leave you with my favorite video from the trip. The Pineapple park offers wine/juice/food tasting at the end of the tour and this is us trying Goya juice. It was horrible!!! Even the straight pineapple juice afterwards didn't taste right! Enjoy!
